Features: Yuna and Rikku from Final Fantasy X-2
About: Not my oldest layout, but the oldest one that I still have, for sure. I remember I had just gotten PSP8 and this was the first layout I finished in it. It was for my blog called “Faded Beauty” at the time, because I found that to be oh-so-poetic a name. I was very young, around 12/13-years-old, so I thought it looked great. Looking at it now, I just smile at how far I managed to come from the heavy criticism I received for layouts such as these.

About: This one actually isn’t so bad, in terms of design. I remember how it looked and it was clean and nice. The design, however, was what I began to call my signature “meshy brush” technique where I basically just layered lots of brushes with the overlay blending mode until it looked like this. Embossed font and random quotes, subpar image blending, that was what you could expect from my early adolescent self.

About: Not sure what I called this one but, well. I remember the quality of images around at the time was pretty low, so I’ll forgive myself for that, an for generally trying. My image blending skills were getting better, and I had the sense to continue the same basic, clean design for the layout as a whole, like the previous one. The colors probably didn’t look as vibrant and loud at the time, on my old computer, but well. Now is a different story.

About: This may have been a layout for a Neopets guild but I honestly don’t remember, it may have been for my blog, too. I don’t know. It’s hard to remember these things. In either case, this isn’t actually SO bad, it’s just a rainbow mess with font in weird places. Not really a big deal, just… what was I doing, is the question.
